LAND STEWARDSHIP

This is a tool that promotes voluntary agreements between land or rights holders and non-profit organisations to improve the natural and cultural values of specific environments.

In Spain, there are 268 land stewardship organisations and more than 4,600 agreements, covering over 708,000 hectares of land.

LIFE STEWARDSHIP OBJECTIVES

The main objective of the LIFE Stewardship project is to promote land stewardship as a tool for nature conservation through innovation and collaboration between administrations, landowners, companies, NGOs and other entities.
